Djembata perform both original and traditional West African drumming pieces with great exuberance and skill. The members are all excellent and experienced players. In a typical performance, we will use djembe drums as well as "dunduns" (= the bass section: kenkeni, sangban and dununba drums) and percussive bells. We perform sets of between twenty minutes and an hour, including pieces ranging in duration from just a few minutes to arrangements lasting a full quarter of an hour!

We are available to be booked for drumming performances throughout the UK and will provide you with a fun, entertaining, uplifting and energising performance, whether for a festival, a private party or anniversary, or a charity or corporate event.
